DON'T GET IT TWISTED!

Galatians 6:7 (Amplified Bible)

7Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked [a]by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and [b]that only is what he will reap.

Too many people who call themselves "Christian" are cheapening God's grace! You want to know how that is possible, huh? I'll tell you! They are thinking that since Jesus' death on the cross has blotted out all of their sin (past, present and future); they can do whatever it is that their hearts desire! They can continue living a lifestyle of immorality, drunkenness, lewdness, lying, stealing, cheating, etc. They believe this GREAT LIE from the enemy because after all, their slate has been wiped clean....Right?!

Right!......Kind of.... You see my friends, what these misinformed and misguided souls don't know-or choose to ignore is this: GOD CANNOT BE MOCKED! He knows the hearts and minds of all people, and He says in His Word that whosoever loves Him, will obey His commands! (John 14:23) He even made His commandments so simple to follow by summing them up into this one:

Luke 10:27 (Amplified Bible)-And he replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.

You see, if you keep these two commands, you automatically fulfill all of the others! (Matthew 22:40) If you truly love God and your 'neighbor,' you won't want to sleep with someone else's spouse or cheat on your own. You won't even want to cause the one you wish to sleep with pain by sleeping with them when you know you or they are married, or you have no intentions on marrying them. You won't steal from someone you love. You won't lie to them or cheat them; murder them or covet what they have because you'll want the best for them! And you most certainly will not want to grieve the Holy Spirit by doing anything that you know would hurt others!

STOP CHEAPENING THE LORD'S GRACE! Willfully and habitually sinning, knowing how great a sacrifice Jesus made on your behalf; is like crucifying Christ all over again! (Hebrews 6:4-6) Yes I know we are still in the flesh, and as long as we dwell in these earthly tents, we will fall at times! But when we truly love God, others and ourselves; we will be quick to confess, repent and move on towards the higher calling in Christ Jesus! We will not intentionally do things we know are wrong!

Think on this sobering, yet EYE OPENING Scripture as this devotional comes to a close:

Matthew 7:21-23 (Amplified Bible)

21Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? 23And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].
