WHERE DID EVERYONE GO?!!!

2 Timothy 4:16-17 (Amplified Bible)


16At my first trial no one acted in my defense [as my advocate] or took my part or [even] stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them!



17But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the [Gospel] message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was delivered out of the jaws of the lion.

I want to encourage somebody today. I don't know who needs to hear this, but the Spirit has prompted me to write this message:

God sees your hard work. He has heard your cries. He remembers those visions, those dreams, yes those desires, that He has impregnated you with. He is so unlike 'man' who will get us pregnant and dump us like garbage! He remembers the 'seed' He planted in you. He is actually the One nurturing that seed through all of your life's experiences; especially the difficult ones. See, He is molding and shaping you, preparing you, to be the best 'mother' to that 'baby' you could possibly be! He doesn't want you to give 'birth' until your 'baby' has reached full maturity- and YOU too! Otherwise, you could wind up losing that 'baby', and causing much harm to yourself!

Oh, the Holy Spirit of the Lord wants somebody to know, that yes, you have just given 'birth' to your 'baby' and you were so excited about its arrival! So many promised you that they would be there to support you in any way possible; but now NO ONE can be found! All of those who you expected to help you the most, have turned their backs on you! Even your own family (blood relatives and church folk) have abandoned you! Wow.... You feel like you have done so much to help others, you have sacrificed so much for so many others; and even that 'baby' you recently gave 'birth' to, was promised to you by God Himself, to be a blessing in the lives of many others; but yet you feel so all alone! "WHERE DID EVERYONE GO?!!!"

My friends, I have tears in my eyes as I write this, and my heart is overwhelmed within me, because I am realizing that my Father is speaking to not only many of you, but to ME as well! Glory to His Name! He is reminding us to stand firm in our faith, no matter what, because things are not always what they appear to be! We cannot rely on what we can see in the natural, but we have to rely on the SUPERNATURAL and what God has promised us! Just like with all babies, our 'baby' has to grow and mature, and that doesn't happen overnight! It's a step by step, day by day process! But when we don't see that 'growth' taking place as quickly as we'd like, we allow the enemy to cause us to second guess ourselves: "DID I REALLY HEAR FROM GOD?!!!" We begin to second guess God: "GOD, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ME?!!!" We allow the enemy to discourage us, and to get us to think about 'aborting the baby' (killing our dreams or visions) or 'putting it up for adoption' (allowing someone else to walk away with our dreams or visions).

The Lord is right now speaking to me and reminding me that as Jesus said, "A prophet is never honored in his own hometown." (Luke 4:24) So you see, it's those closest to us, that will many times not support us! And in some cases, it's not even intentional! It's just that they remember the old you. They can't see the new you because they themselves are still stuck in the past! They haven't moved forward with you... You left them and they aren't happy about it! You are causing them to have to take a look at themselves! You are making them realize and have to come face to face with some painful truths about who they are! Yes, many remember where you were, and they can't see where you are going- and they don't want to! It hurts too bad....

Others still, may think they know you, but they have never really taken the time to get to know you! Sure, they may speak to you in church here and there, but they don't know YOU.... And unless they see others acknowledging you and your 'baby', they stand afar off, watching. But as soon as they can see a mighty move of God on your behalf, they become interested in your 'baby'. They now want to see this 'baby' and hold this 'baby'. That same 'baby' they were ignoring for months, is now a priority for them! But it's okay! God has not forgotten you! No, your 'Baby Daddy' has not abandoned you! Be encouraged, be still, there are stages you and your 'baby' must go through before reaching full maturity! I know these various stages are painful at times, but they are necessary for you and your 'baby's' growth! And once you reach this final stage of maturity, oh the blessings that the Lord will rain down upon you!

Everybody can't see the vision, not everyone will like your 'baby'. Some won't even be able to stand looking at it, but again, that's ok! God will place the right people in your life, at the appointed time; and get rid of the wrong ones! Count it all joy! God has brought you this far, He's about to deliver, or has delivered your 'baby'... He will certainly protect and bless it! (Philippians 1:6)
