WHEN TIMES AND SEASONS CHANGE

Ecclesiastes 3 (Amplified Bible)

1TO EVERYTHING there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:

2A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted,(A)

3A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up,

4A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6A time to get and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away,

7A time to rend and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak,(B)

8A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.(C)


As you read in the Scripture above, there is a time for everything under the sun! We will have good seasons and bad seasons. But the Spirit showed me that as long as you are a believer in Jesus Christ, even what we view as bad, He will bring forth many blessings from! (Romans 8:28) So even when we are 'in the furnace' or the 'storms of life,' while the enemy is trying to burn us up or drown us; God is right there with us, controlling the thermostat, and holding back the rushing waves; he is 'staying' Satan's hand and letting him know when enough is enough!

You see, if Satan's weapons (no matter what or who he works through) can't produce any lasting fruit in our lives, God won't allow Him to use them against us in the first place! There is a purpose for ALL things!

What time is it? What season do you find yourself in? Might it be Winter? A cold, dreary time where you are seeking shelter from the cold and the storms? Is it Spring time? Things are starting to look up in your life! You see changes, you have hope! It's finally beginning to warm up a bit! Maybe you are in the Summer? Life is great! You are so full of joy and peace! All is well in your world and life couldn't possibly get any better! Could you be in the Fall? You are neither happy nor sad. You are just coping and taking it day by day. You're not sure what you are doing, or where you are going! You may be confused and afraid....

Regardless of what time it is, or what season you are in, I guarantee you that you won't remain there forever! Good or bad, seasons change! Time moves on-it waits for no one! Thankfully, as long as we place our trust in the Lord, we can remain at peace and filled with joy; just like during the 'summer' times! We can be immovable, even in the midst of the storms, or times in the furnace! How? Because through those 'winter' times, we will have learned that the changing of the 'seasons,' the movement of time, is inevitable! It is also much needed for not only our physical needs and growth, but our spiritual as well!

Yes, people will come, people will go. You will have times of laughter, times of crying. You will have times of sowing, and times of reaping. My friend, you will live and there will come a time that you will die (unless Jesus comes back first); but through it all, you can rest assured, that God will be by your side, fulfilling His purposes for your life and leading you right into your preordained destiny!
