THE UGLY 'F' WORD PT.2: FEAR

THE UGLY 'F' WORD PT. 2: FEAR

Isaiah 41:10 (Amplified Bible)

10Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.

2 Timothy 1:7 (New King James Version)

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

There are so many scriptures in the bible about fear! Most of which the Lord is encouraging us NOT to fear! Fear is the opposite of faith, as it often times paralyzes us and causes us to remain still when we should be moving forward. Fear can also cause us to move, when we should be standing still! Fear causes us to think on whatever is untrue, unjust, impure, unworthy and unkind. Fear is from the enemy, and it has no place in a child of God!

Fear has been known to cause major destruction! Fear has lied, fear has stolen, fear has cheated; fear has even murdered and committed suicide! Oh that ugly 'F' word! Fear is one of the enemy's main weapons, which he uses against us! Fear is rooted and takes up residence in the mind-after all, the mind is the battlefield! If Satan can get us to enter into fear in any area of our lives, he has us caught in his grasp!

Many times the thing in which we fear never happens anyway; and if it does, it's usually not as bad as we had feared... No pun intended! But there are times when the very things that we fear, do come to pass! I believe that happens via our words! We think on something, and then we speak on it; and there is great power in our words! Remember, the power of life and death are in the tongue! So we had better be careful about what we allow to proceed from our mouths! (Proverbs 18:21)

We have to be careful not to only pay attention to what we think and say, but what we hear and see as well! All of those areas are doorways to the devil if we aren't careful! Fear is nothing more than FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL! Though something may seem real to you, you have to remember that God is in control and He is greater than anything and anyone who could ever come near you! (1 John 4:4) Whatever or whoever He allows to enter into your life, He has a great purpose for it! He will not allow anything or anyone into your life that you cannot bear! And when it gets to be too much for you, He will sweep in and deliver you right in the nick of time! So if you are a true child of God, what or whom do you really have to fear anyway? (1 Corinthians 10:13)
