THE SPIRIT OF SUICIDE

This message has been BURNING SO HEAVILY IN MY SPIRIT for a few days now, but then when I typed it up earlier, accidentally deleted it somehow, and had to RETYPE it, I knew I NEEDED TO POST IT RIGHT NOW! You see, for the past few weeks, my heart has been so heavy, as the Spirit keeps bringing the word "SUICIDE" to my mind. After the first time He brought it to my mind, I prayed about it and left it alone. But then I began to see a lot of people post the National Suicide Hotline # a few days after that.... And then, a week or so later, a dear friend of mines on here came to me for prayer because her boyfriend had just COMMITTED SUICIDE. I spoke with her and prayed with her... It was very heartbreaking to say the least! Well I thought maybe God had put that on my mind to prepare me to minister to her. However, it was still so heavy on my heart.

So yesterday, I was talking to someone else who said she was depressed as she had a nightmare the night before that seemed so real, about a loved one COMMITTING SUICIDE. It struck something deep in me, and so I called and spoke to that person she dreamed about, as it's one of my loved ones as well, and we made plans to get together.

Well, I had mentioned all of this to my daughter, and she then told me about a 12 year old girl who she saw a live video of- right here on FB the other night, who COMMITTED SUICIDE back in December, and how disturbing it had been and how she felt depressed and wished she had never seen it. Lord have mercy!

Then TODAY, I received an inbox message from a dear sis in Christ who asked me to pray for her, as she's seen some videos here on FB too, of people who have COMMITTED SUICIDE, and is feeling deeply disturbed....

Now I'm like "OK LORD, WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL ME?"

The Lord brought back to my memory, another Sister In Christ here on FB a few years ago, who was a Minister and Pastor's wife. She was always on here encouraging others, and seemed to be happy and strong in faith, etc. Well one day, I received an inbox message from a mutual friend of ours, who informed me that this woman had COMMITTED SUICIDE the day before, and it shocked me to the core! Right after that, the Lord led me to write a message titled, "THE MINISTER NEEDS MINISTERING TO, TOO!" I'm saying ALL of this to say:

BELOVEDS WE NEVER KNOW WHAT ANYONE IS GOING THROUGH! Many people "SMILE ON THE OUTSIDE," but they are "CRYING ON THE INSIDE. They put up a facade, PRETENDING TO BE STRONG, and to others, it APPEARS that they have it all TOGETHER. But in reality, they are FALLING APART!

Many of these people are "SPIRITUAL LEADERS" and so they are the ones always there for EVERYONE ELSE, so they feel they have to always "BE STRONG." They oftentimes feel as if they have NO ONE who they can talk to, that they can really trust, for fear of DISCREDITING THEIR WITNESS, as people are so quick to throw in their face to "PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH!" Their FAITH is questioned, and many seem to forget that THEY ARE HUMAN AND STRUGGLE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE (and even MORE SO, since the enemy tries to attack them the hardest to try to get them to give up!)

But see, since THE MIND IS THE BATTLEFIELD, the enemy will attempt to ATTACK ANYONE from ANY background! All he needs is an opening.... So you will find SINGLE people, MARRIED people, OLDER people, YOUNGER people, SUCCESSFUL/RICH (by the world's standards) people, POOR people, CHRISTIAN people, ETC., who could very well be CONTEMPLATING SUICIDE! It may even be someone CLOSE to you!!!!

So please beloved, let's all be more MINDFUL to not get so CAUGHT UP in our OWN struggles, that we become BLIND to the hurt/needs of those around us, especially those CLOSEST TO US! {PAY ATTENTION TO PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY YOUR CHILDREN- WHAT THEY SAY & DON'T SAY. WHAT THEY DO & DON'T DO!} YOU SHOULD KNOW THEM BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. IF SOMETHING SEEMS OFF, DON'T IGNORE IT!!!! If the Lord places ANYONE on your heart, TAKE A MOMENT TO REACH OUT TO THEM! A kind, loving gesture (a simple smile, hello, text, inbox, phone call, visit, etc.) goes a LONG way in showing one that someone cares for them. It could even mean the difference between LIFE & DEATH!!!!

GOD PLACED THIS ON MY HEART TO SHARE BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU, & HE WANTS YOU TO KNOW HE FEELS YOUR PAIN!
