WHEN YOU THINK NO ONE IS WATCHING
Exodus 2:11-15 (New King James Version)
11 Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.
12 So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two Hebrew men were fighting, and he said to the one who did the wrong, “Why are you striking your companion?”
14 Then he said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?”
So Moses feared and said, “Surely this thing is known!”
14 Then he said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?”
So Moses feared and said, “Surely this thing is known!”
15 When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well.
What are you doing/saying when you think no one is watching? Are you doing/saying things that you would do or say in front of your parents or your Pastor, or someone else you respect? Would you say or do these things if Jesus were right in front of you? Guess what?! If you are a true believer in Jesus Christ, you have the Holy Spirit living IN you! So when you think you are all alone, and no one can see or hear you; God always does! Even if you are an unbeliever, God can see and hear you, for He is everywhere! There is absolutely no where you can run and hide from Him! (Psalm 139:7-10)
The bible also teaches us that “You shall know them by their fruit.” (Matthew 7:16) In other words, by the way we live our lives, people will be able to tell who are true believers, from those just claiming to be! Our lifestyles, may be the only Bible some people ever have the chance to read. So we had better be careful to live out our lives in a manner which represents God!
The bible also teaches us that “The power of life and death are in the tongue and those who love it, will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21) Either you are getting Satan’s attention by coming into agreement with him and speaking negatively (in alignment with his LIES) ; or you are getting God’s attention by coming into agreement with Him and speaking positively (in alignment to the Word of God). You are ‘creating’ LIFE or DEATH by the very words you speak!
You can’t feast at two tables at the same time. You can’t love the Lord and the world/enemy. You have to choose one or the other! There is no in between! (1 Corinthians 10:21, Matthew 6:24, Joshua 24:15) So you’d better be careful what you do and what you speak-even when you think no one is watching; because SOMEONE is always watching!
